Your sound scape sounds really cool. Makes one feel as if you were lost and having a really bad day in the woods alone. You set up the scene of the sound scape with the baby crying and glass breaking. Something bad happened and this person is walking, and then the person running in the woods. I get the impression he is running from something because of the heart beating part. You can see the manipulation of time here because at first the person is just walking or stumbling in the woods. Then he is out of breath and his heart is racing given the impression of time passing. When the sound scape/ person goes "underwater" it sounds as if the story part is over and the person gets out of woods (now water). The sound scape wraps up nicely with the last part of it. It just has a very nice melody to it. This part is like a happy/ mysterious ending to a what a movie might do. Like I said it wraps up the entire song. Also I wanted to point out that one can see the manipulation of space during the underwater part. Especially while the heart is still beating.
I think overall you did a pretty good job covering the emotion part of the assignment. I think that a sense of space comes naturally with the use of literal sounds such as the baby crying, the sound of something crashing into the water, and the heartbeat. With sounds like those you can really see the scene in your imagination, but I didn't hear much manipulation of time. At first I was thinking that the song didn't make me feel relief at all, but as soon as it started calming down by the end I did feel relieved. You got me :) All of the sounds you used were pretty unsettling, so I really liked your approach to the structure of the sound. It was definitely necessary that you built up the sound and made me feel anticipation before feeling any kind of relief. You did a really great job! I hope you got an A.
I really like the way that your soundscape. I enjoy the way that you manipulated space by using echo and heavy breathing, as well as well as the noise of the crickets to make it appear like the space was much more open, when in fact the picture makes it appear to by very intimate. I also like the way that you manipulated space by having a picture that was taken under water, yet having sounds that you would not hear under water, and they were not even muffled like the perspective of someone under water might hear.
I also like the way in which you used only the single picture in order to manipulate time. With having only one, non-moving image, it appears that time should be, in a sense, "standing still." However, your soundscape audio tells a story, starting with the breaking glass and the opening of the door, going on to the breathing and up through the end, which contrasts the image, yet provides a much more emotional level.

Overall, I really like it.
